The Journal of Women's Imaging: the official journal of the American Association for Women Radiologists

Journal of Women's Imaging is the only journal in this new subspecialty focusing exclusively on recognizing and diagnosing specific diseases and abnormalities affecting women. Written and edited by world-renowned specialists, this journal is intended to provide definitive guidance in diagnostic and therapeutic gynecologic, body, and breast imaging using a variety of imaging techniques to help practitioners refine and expand their use of imaging in clinical practice. Each quarterly issue features original articles covering both current techniques and the latest emerging developments in the imaging of women during their reproductive and post-reproductive years.

Marcia C. Javitt, MD, JWI Editor-in-Chief (left), and M. Ines Boechat, MD, FACR, Past President of AAWR (right) at the AAWR Business Meeting at RSNA 2000. Drs. Javitt and Boechat are the architects of this joint project promising a long and productive relationship between JWI and AAWR.

This new affiliation between AAWR and JWI will serve well our common interests to address issues unique to women's health and imaging, as well as to promote AAWR - sponsored projects and activities.

Some of the benefits to AAWR include a lower subscription rate and access to CME credits via special JWI articles. The subscription rate for AAWR Members is $60 for year 2003 (compare to a regular rate $113), and for AAWR Members In-Training the rate is $40 for year 2003 (compare to a regular rate $98). For more information, visit the JWI web site.
