Dr. Bahl’s research focuses on artificial intelligence and advanced breast imaging technologies to improve cancer detection and diagnostic accuracy. Her work has been recognized with numerous honors, including the American Roentgen Ray Society President’s Award and the Massachusetts Medical Society Women’s Health Research Award. In 2025, she was inducted as a Distinguished Investigator into the Academy for Radiology & Biomedical Imaging Research. Dr. Bahl serves as an Associate Editor for Radiology and Radiology: Artificial Intelligence and as an Editorial Board Member for European Radiology. She has delivered more than 150 invited national and international lectures and is widely recognized for excellence in mentorship and education. In 2025, Dr. Bahl was named a RadEqual Champion, an honor recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to advancing the careers of women in medical imaging informatics through mentorship, sponsorship, and advocacy. During her training, Dr. Bahl received the AAWR Lucy Frank Squire Distinguished Resident Award. Since completing her training, she has remained actively engaged in the AAWR and currently serves on its Awards Committee. Dr. Bahl is also actively involved in leadership and advocacy related to women’s health and women in medicine. She serves as Chair of the Massachusetts Medical Society Women’s Health Committee and is a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society Women Physicians Section. ← Back to Board of Directors Page |
