The Dr. Katherine A. Shaffer Award for the RLI Leadership Summit

An integral part of the AAWR mission is to offer members opportunities for training, mentorship, and recognition of achievements. Each year, this award provides one scholarship for an AAWR member to attend the ACR Radiology Leadership Institute (RLI) Leadership Summit. This is the only leadership training program in radiology designed in close collaboration with business school experts. Sessions examine the biggest challenges facing health care and radiology today and how to turn those challenges into opportunities for capturing greater value in the modern patient cycle of care.

This year's RLI Leadership Summit will be held October 16–18, 2026, in Atlanta, Georgia. One AAWR member will be selected to receive a scholarship covering the cost of attendance.

What you'll need to apply:

• Your name, email, institution/practice, and address
• A description of your leadership roles, activities, and accomplishments related to advancing the careers of women in radiology, radiation oncology, or healthcare
• A description of your involvement and contributions to the AAWR
• A statement on why you're interested in attending and what you hope to gain
• Your CV
• A headshot
