Dr. Aarya Ramprasad was primarily raised in Georgia. She completed the 6-year B.A./M.D. program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, where she developed a passion for mentorship, medical education, and community building within radiology. From a young age, she was drawn to the intricate details of the world around her, a curiosity that ultimately led her to radiology and the art of visual diagnosis. Dr. Ramprasad has been actively involved in the radiology community through organizations including the American Association for Women in Radiology, American College of Radiology, RadDiscord, and TheRadRoom, with a focus on mentorship, outreach, and increasing accessibility within the field. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the AAWR Member in Training Committee and was drawn to AAWR because of its strong sense of community and representation of women leaders within radiology. Outside of medicine, she enjoys learning piano, roller skating, pilates, playing video games, and spending time with friends and family. |
