WHAT IS AN AAWR CIRCLE?

Circles are local Women in Radiology groups based at institutions across the United States. Each Circle is part of the national AAWR organization as well as the Women in Radiology Coalition, both of which foster connection, collaboration, and mutual support among women in radiology. Circles can also be regional networks of institutions, such as the University of California system.

Requirements to become a Circle

  • At least one faculty member who is a current paid AAWR member
  • At least one trainee who is an AAWR member

Benefits of becoming an AAWR Circle

  • Stay informed and connected: Receive updates on AAWR events, opportunities, and initiatives.

  • Expand your reach: Share programming such as webinars across institutions to reach a broader audience.
  • Collaborate with peers: Join virtual meetings with Women in Radiology leaders to exchange ideas and best practices.
  • Access a trusted network: Use an informal communication channel to ask questions, seek advice, and problem-solve in real time.
  • Unlock funding opportunities: Become eligible to apply for AAWR support for one small and one large event each year.
